The Lynnwood Community Hall is available for paid members of the Lynnwood Community League only (who have resided in the community for at least six months) for meetings, small parties, dinner functions and events.  Please note that our hall is a non-smoking facility.

Use of or Rental of Facilities for Parties/Private Functions

The Lynnwood Community League insurance policy protects the community league, executive, employees and volunteers for an activity, program, event or function organized and operated by the community league, however, it is not intended to provide coverage for third party user groups renting/using the hall for their own programs, activities or functions.

The Executive has motioned that all Third Party renters must purchase insurance when renting the hall for a private function, if the function involves alcohol, the coverage purchased must include host liquor liability and Lynnwood Community League must be added as an additional insured.  Please contact Sarah Mattia @ Foster Park Baskett Insurance Ltd. :  780-489-4961 to purchase this coverage.

As of November 5, 2006, new rates apply for the hall:

• All day rental is $150.00 any day.  You would be given the keys the night before, if possible, for setup and return the key once your function is over;

• Friday, Saturday or Sunday is $75.00 per half day (3-6 hours), as long as event is over and the hall is cleaned before 5:00 p.m.;

• Monday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. is $75.00;

• Rental for 1-3 hours during the day is $50.00;

• A signed contract is required (a copy can be obtained from the Hall Rental Representative setting out full details as to the responsibilities of the Licensee);

• Security damage equal to hall rental price is cashed when contract is signed;

• Cancellation of contract without a full 7 days' notice to the Hall Rental Representative forfeits security cheque.  An invoice stating any charges or deductions will accompany any refund;

• Additionally, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings are not usually available due to community programs (to be confirmed with Hall Rental Representative).

If you are wishing to have liquor at an event, you will require liquor license insurance.  If you are unsure of how to get this please contact the Hall Rental Representative.

The hall has a nice kitchen, but offers no dishes, pots or utensils, as the hall has suffered losses and theft.  Most things can be rented from Special Event Rentals, as an example, if you want anything over and above paper plates, etc.
