Rink News

This year was very successful, as we had a lot of people utilizing the facility.  A big thanks goes out to Ken, our Rink Attendant, who is very dependable, hard-working and personable.  Ken has agreed to stay on board for next year!

YOGA

 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the Lynnwood Community Hall

For more information or to register, please phone Carol @ 780-484-2465.

Please Note:  The dumpster at the Lynnwood hall is now locked.  It was often used inappropriately, leaving it too full for users of the community hall.  A key is available to hall users in order to access the dumpster.

The garbage bin at the community hall is not for public use.  It would not be acceptable to dump your garbage on your neighbour’s front lawn, but that is essentially what is happening when people are dumping their mattresses, etc. beside the dumpster at the hall.  Please help stop the dumping of large items at the hall.  Volunteers are left to figure out how to get rid of the large garbage items, as the city does not take these items away.

Keep an eye out for your neighbours and our community hall for suspicious activity . . . .

Please report all crimes and suspicious behaviour.  The Police Complaint line is:  780-423-4567.

ATTENTION COMMUNITY RESIDENTS:

Recently it has come to our attention that privileges regarding City Bylaws are being abused.

As parks and green spaces are regarded as public areas, we are asking you to treat them as such and have consideration for others in public multiple use spaces.

If you are a dog owner you should know and abide by the new Animal Control Bylaw 13145 and the Parks Bylaw 2202 which states that your dog must be on leash at all times except for those areas where they are signed otherwise as are Parks for Paws - Dogs Off Leash areas.

Areas where dogs are not permitted even on leash are:

* Playgrounds

* School sites

* Park picnic areas

* Sports fields

* Golf courses

* most roadways

A dog can be on leash on any improved or unimproved trail, but not off the trail in any of the above mentioned green spaces.

Please be considerate in regards to this issue so that all residents can enjoy a good quality lifestyle together.

Please pick up after your dog.

If you have concerns:
